Dear Croatians and people of Croatian
  origin around the world!

It is the mission of the Croatian Heritage Foundation to preserve and develop Croatian cultural identity, the mother tongue and the customs of Croatians living outside the country of origin. Along with culture and social activities we support projects from all areas of social activity, from business to sports, which contribute to affirming the Croatian name around the world.

It is the vision of the Croatian Heritage Foundation to become the leading institution informing the Croatian communities abroad and the global public of Croatia, its culture and life, with the aim of creating bridges of improved cultural exchange between Emigrant Croatia and the country of origin.

A departure abroad and a return to the homeland have become for Croatians a natural phenomenon since Croatia regained its independence, and the issues faced now are entirely different from those faced in the past. Croatia is your country of origin, which has taken on the obligation to care for its emigrants living in some forty countries around the world, from South and North America to Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and the one-way map of the previous century is now a part of our past.
Meetings and communication among relatives now happens in virtual space and in real time thanks to the global development of information technologies – making the story of the emigrant communities and the homeland even more challenging and demanding. Deliberations on the identity of emigrants in the receiving countries are present today more than ever before, as emigrants, besides their once dominant role on the labour market, have taken on a new role of social and cultural integration at all levels of society.
The Croatian Heritage Foundation is ready, depending on the country and the cultural, political and historical environment in which the descendants of Croatian emigrants live, to become more effectively involved in all projects that endeavour to develop Croatian identity among Croatians living abroad.
For us, your choice is a new asset.
We wish to learn about the cultures of the nations in which you live and to create new projects regardless of differences that will, I believe, enrich both cultures in a global vision of a wealth of differences.

Sincerely yours

Katarina Fuček,
Director of the Croatian Heritage Foundation
