The winter double issue of Matica magazine
came off the presses in mid February,
as usual bringing an abundance of fascinating
articles from the homeland and abroad.
The cover photo features the Museum
of Contemporary Art in Zagreb. This
grand new Croatian culture facility
saw its gala opening late last year.
In this double issue we write of an
important CHF programme – the Winter
School of Croatian Folklore, traditionally
held in Crikvenica. Also featured are
interesting interviews with our well-known
emigrants such as parliamentarian Josip
Juratović from Germany, architect Thierry
Paul from England, and restaurant owner
Mišo Lušić from Australia…
Dear Matica magazine
readers around the world, it is in
your interest and ours that our monthly
records every notable event from the
places you live. We invite you, therefore,
to work with us. Write us news items
and send photos – work with us in
creating the content of Matica magazine,
by writing about what you would like
to read about. Let's make Matica a
real bridge of Croatian unity.
