Participation is open to the children of Croatians in the emigrant communities, and to children from Croatia attending grades 1 through 8 of elementary school with a submissions deadline of the end of February 2012. The proclamation of the best submission and the exhibition will be held in Zurich, Switzerland in March of 2012. Three prizes will be awarded in the 1st to 4th grade and 5th to 8th grade categories.
The Split branch of the CHF wrapped up its celebration of the hundredth anniversary of FC Hajduk at the Veslo. This included an exhibition organised by Branka Beziæ Filipoviæ on Hajduk's century with the emigrant communities. The exhibition was eagerly anticipated, as Hajduk has made several tours of New York.
The CHF Almanac, now in its 56th year, includes six original research papers with bibliographies, nineteen expert articles, three reviews of recent emigrant community literature, four contributions focusing on the domestic culture scene and two interviews from Canada.
The Rijeka branch office of the CHF is organising its 9th annual contest for children and youth attending Croatian supplementary schools, and pupils living abroad participating in other forms of the organised instruction of Croatian as a mother tongue. Submissions will be accepted by the 7 April 2012 deadline.
The Croatian Culture Club of Switzerland was founded at Villa Boveri in Baden in 2002. It was again the venue for the 10th anniversary celebration this 15 January, also marking the 10th anniversary of the Club bulletin, the bilingual magazine Libra.
